The starting point is safely accessible via a pedestrian and bicycle path. The distance from the center of Luosto to the starting point is about 500 meters.\n\nAt the starting point, there are signs as well as information and map boards about outdoor routes. The path enters the forest along an easy trail. In the midst of a beautiful spruce forest, the path winds towards the edge of the swamp area. Along the forest path, you may spot a large ant hill. After about 300 meters, the route arrives at an open swamp and meadow area.\n\nIn the middle of the clearing is a small pond, and the route starts to circle the water body. In spring and summer, the water body and its surrounding environment are excellent places for birdwatching. If you want to observe birds, approach the water body slowly. There is also a small island in the middle of the pond. For now, access to the island is not allowed.\n\nThe gravel path continues along the shores of the pond and reaches a resting place at about 700 meters. Lähtöpiste on turvallisesti saavutettavissa kevyen liikenteen väylää pitkin. Luoston keskustasta matkaa lähtöpisteeseen on noin 500 metriä.\n\nLähtöpisteestä löytyvät opasteet sekä info- ja karttataulut ulkoilureiteistä. Reitti siirtyy kulkemaan metsään helppoa polkua pitkin. Komean kuusimetsän keskellä polku mutkittelee kohti suoalueen laitaa. Metsäpolun varrelta voi bongata ison muurahaispesän. Noin 300 metrin jälkeen reitti saapuu avoimelle suo- ja heinäaukealle.\n\nAukean keskellä on pieni lampi ja reitti lähtee kiertämään vesistöä. Kevät- ja kesäaikaan vesistö ja sen lähiympäristö ovat oivia paikkoja lintujen bongaamiseen. Mikäli lintuja haluaa havainnoida, niin vesistöä kannattaa lähestyä maltilla. Lammen keskellä on myös pieni saari. Saareen ei ole toistaiseksi pääsyä.\n\nSorastettu polku jatkuu myötäillen lammen rantoja ja saavuttaa taukopaikan noin 700 metrin kohdalla. Taukopaikalla on puolikota ja tulipaikka. Taukopaikalta avautuu upea maisema kohti Luoston tunturihuippuja. Lisäksi reitin itä- ja eteläpuolella on kaunista suomaisemaa.\n\nLopulta reitti on kiertänyt koko vesistön ja palaa takaisin metsän laitaan.
